Lex Anglo-Brasil is a bilateral lawyers association with an interest in strengthening ties between Brazil and the UK. We launched with the support of the OAB, Law Society and Bar Council. We will continue to work with them in future activities.
WHAT WE DO
Our mission is to strengthen ties between the legal professions in the UK and Brazil. The initiative has brought together a variety of judges, solicitors, barristers, advogados, academics, students and in-house counsel. We are governed by our constitution, elected officers and our executive committee, which oversees the work of our sub-committees.
Our membership has formed regional and sector sub-committees and ad hoc sub-committees can be formed and led by members for specific projects. We invite the proposal of new committees and events from members and interested parties.
We also work together with universities and academic institutions to promote legal education and knowledge and place students and lawyers together with new and established practitioners.
Lex Anglo-Brasil is created by lawyers for the benefit of lawyers, students, academics and all legal practitioners with the aim of strengthening ties between our jurisdictions and improving standards of excellence.
